Who We Actually Are

Started in a cramped office with too much coffee and a dream to make accounting less... well, accounting-y. Now we're here helping tech-forward businesses stay compliant without losing their minds.

Our Journey

How We Got Here

It wasn't a straight line, that's for sure. Here's the condensed version of our story.

2018

The Beginning

Started with just two accountants who were tired of corporate red tape. Set up shop in Toronto with a laptop, a dream, and way too much ambition. Our first client? A tech startup that paid us in equity. (It worked out, surprisingly.)

2020

Going Digital

Pandemic hit and we were already cloud-based (lucky us). Helped 40+ businesses pivot their accounting systems online. Grew our team to eight people and moved into an actual proper office on Bay Street. Still drinking too much coffee though.

2023

Specialization

Doubled down on what we're actually good at - helping digital businesses, e-commerce shops, and tech companies navigate Canadian tax rules. Added CRA audit support 'cause honestly, someone's gotta do it. Now serving 150+ clients across Ontario.

2025

Today

We're 12 people strong now, still in Toronto, still obsessed with making accounting make sense. We've handled over 2,000 tax filings, helped with 80+ incorporations, and yeah, we've seen some stuff. The mission hasn't changed - just help businesses do their thing without tax headaches.

Meet The Team

The folks who'll actually be handling your books. No stock photos here - these are real people who really work here.

Sarah Chen, CPA

Former Big Four escapee. Handles complex tax planning and doesn't miss the 80-hour weeks one bit.

Marcus Thompson, CPA

Founding Partner

Tech geek turned accountant. Built our entire cloud infrastructure and still remembers how to do manual journal entries.

Priya Patel, CPA

Senior Tax Advisor

HST/GST wizard. If there's a sales tax question, she's got the answer before you finish asking.

James Rodriguez

Bookkeeping Lead

Keeps everything organized. Seriously, this guy color-codes his lunch. Your books are in good hands.

Emily Lawson, CPA

Financial Analysis

Turns numbers into stories that actually make sense. Former data analyst who saw the light.

David Kim

Client Success Manager

Your first point of contact. Basically our in-house therapist when tax season gets wild.

Why We're Different

Look, we're not gonna pretend we invented accounting. But we did take a hard look at how it's done and thought "this could be way better."

We got into this because we saw too many small businesses and startups getting steamrolled by outdated processes and accountants who seemed to speak a different language. So we built something different.

Everything's cloud-based 'cause it's 2025 and physical filing cabinets are honestly ridiculous. We explain things in plain English. We respond to emails the same day (usually within hours). And we actually care if your business succeeds - not just because you're paying us, but because we're kinda invested in seeing you win.

Our Philosophy

Accounting Should Be Simple (Or At Least Simpler)

We don't think you need a finance degree to understand your own business numbers. That's literally what you're paying us for - to make sense of it all.

Our whole thing is transparency. No surprise fees, no confusing invoices, no gatekeeping information that's yours anyway. When we take on a client, we're basically becoming part of your team.

We've turned down clients before because we weren't the right fit, and that's okay. We'd rather focus on businesses where we can actually make a difference - usually tech companies, e-commerce operations, and digital businesses that need someone who gets their world.
